Project Scope and Component Details:
Solar PV System: We installed high-performance, all-black Silfab Solar panels (specifically the Silfab Prime SIL-440 QD model), delivering powerful performance with 440 Watts each. For ultimate array optimization, we coupled every panel with Enphase IQ8HC microinverters, creating a “smart” system where each panel operates independently to maximize power harvest, especially under partial shade conditions.
Energy Storage and Resilience: The installation includes multiple Tesla Powerwall units, coupled with the Tesla Gateway 2 and Tesla Neurio intelligence monitor. This system provides whole-home backup power during grid outages and optimizes energy usage by storing solar excess for nighttime consumption.
EV Charging Infrastructure: To support the client’s electric vehicles, we integrated dual Tesla Wall Connector chargers, complete with professional conduit work and dedicated circuits, fully integrated into the home’s energy management ecosystem.
Electrical Infrastructure: Our master electrician completely overhauled the home’s electrical service. We designed and executed a meticulously organized main electrical panel with clear circuit labeling and advanced surge protection. The installation of Enphase Combiner and Gateway units ensures real-time production and consumption monitoring.
Water Heating Efficiency: The project extended beyond power by enhancing water heating efficiency with the installation of a high-quality Bradford White water heater, complete with proper seismic bracing and professional plumbing connections.
Execution and Safety:
The project included the successful commissioning of the Enphase system via the Enphase Installer App, validating proper connectivity and a validated power production of 9.33 kW. Our adherence to local codes is visible in the clear fire safety labeling, dedicated building disconnect switches (F.D. Electrical Bldg Disconnect), and heavy-duty, weather-tight conduit runs.
